Manager – Technical Services & Automation Resolute Mining

Mohamed is a mining engineer with over 10 years’ experience of which 5 years has been in senior management role in underground mining. Mohamed is a Malian national that benefited a scholarship from a Anglogold/Randgold program to undertake mining engineering studies in south Africa. He did an advanced executive development program at the London School of business.
  
He is currently the technical services and automation manager at the the Syama Gold Mine, the first purposely built automated mine in the world, where he is in charge of integrating automation and leading-edge technology in the mine plan and ensure automation of all activities of the mine.
 
 He was previously the underground mining manager of Loulo Gold Mine, a Randgold resources (Now Barrick Gold) operations. At Loulo, Mohamed lead the underground team to full owner operation by removing a contractor in the two underground mines, maintaining production and reducing cost. He also participated in the construction of the biggest gold mine in DRC, Kibali, a joint venture between Randgold gold and Anglogold, participating in the feasibility study, site establishment and also leading the underground team as mining manager.  Mohamed is quite passionate for the mining operation and enjoy delivering and developing new challenging projects.
