We support a more diverse mining industry

Despite increased pressure on the mining sector to increase diversity, females still only make up 17% of our workforce with even fewer being in executive positions.  At Mining Indaba, we're supporting the move to a more diverse future in several ways. Last year 22% of our speaker line-up was female and this year we're setting our heights even further by aiming for 27%. By increasing the diversity of our speakers we're helping to elevate female leaders within the industry so that others can look to them as a role models.

  • Partnering with three Women in Mining associations who provide advise and help connect us to the women at the top
