African Legal Support Facility

African Legal Support Facility
The African Legal Support Facility (“ALSF” or the “Facility”) is an international organisation established by the African Development Bank (“AfDB”) in 2008 to assist African governments in creditor litigation and negotiating complex commercial transactions. The ALSF supports African countries with legal and technical capacity to ensure fair and equitable contracts and sustainable development. The ALSF collaborates with various partners to support African countries, including the African Natural Resources Centre of the African Development Bank (“ANRC”). Among other things, the ALSF and ANRC are collaborating to support African economies to effectively integrate ESG in mining projects and to obtain optimal benefits from the development of transition minerals.
