The DRC Ministry of Mines manages the national mining domain in accordance with the DRC Mining Code and its implementing measures. Its main goals are:
1. The promotion and sustainable development of the DRC mineral resources for the benefit of its population. Thus, DRC has to shift from a "potentially rich country" to a "rich country" by industrialization and transformation of DRC mineral resources within DRC, the sales of transformed products and the good management of benefits resulting from those activities.
2. The monitoring of all mining activities taking place within the national territory to make sure that they are responsibly conducted: "Zero child and pregnant women" on mining sites, Eco-friendly for the preservation of our planet.
