Dr Thulani Dlamini is the CEO of the CSIR – South Africa. He is a Materials Scientist and previously worked in the Petrochemicals industry, where he held positions of Chief Research Scientist, General Manager: Research and Development and Vice President: Strategic Research and Technology. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Leadership. His areas of interest include innovation management, IP commercialization and strategy development.
He has served on numerous Boards as well as national and international committees including the South African Presidential Commission on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, National Advisory Council on Innovation and is a Board member of UNDP South African Programme. He is also a member of the South African Academy of Science and the Institute of Directors South Africa.
