Itumeleng Mogale is a Social Performance Manager at Venetia mine. The mine, which is part of De Beers Group Managed Operations business, is currently transitioning from open pit to underground operations.
An important aspect of Itumeleng’s job is implementing the Social Way Policy, which provides a framework for social performance management with the vision to deliver a lasting, positive contribution to local communities. Itumeleng manages a team that has core responsibilities in relation to: Stakeholder engagement, Social and Human Rights Impact and Risk Analysis, Grievance, Incidents and Commitments management.
