Mr. Luc Asosa is a development expert with over 20 years of experience. For more than a decade, he has had a strong focus on improving the governance of the artisanal mining sector: duty of care, promotion of health and safety standards and formalization of the artisanal sector including cobalt are some of his areas of specialization. The place and role of the ASM sector in the energy transition is central to his advocacy. He has actively collaborated with IndustriALL Global Union to advance the agenda of formalizing the artisanal mining sector in the DRC for the creation and promotion of decent jobs.
He currently works for Pact in the Democratic Republic of Congo where he serves as Director of Programs for the DRC overseeing all Pact programs in the DRC.
