Raphael is a director at Turner & Townsend, leading the resources business which includes Mining & Metals and Oil & Gas across Africa.
He has gained most of his experience in the Natural Resources sector, largely focused in Mining and minerals . In the last 12 months he helped, together with his team, several of Turner & Townsend’s clients deliver various projects across Africa whilst meeting the challenge of a changing commodity landscape and challenging economic conditions. Some of these clients include the likes of Anglo American, Ivanplats, Ivannhoe Mines, South 32, AngloGold Ashanti and Exxaro, to name a few.
He has helped mining majors meet their commitment to Mining Charter III by partnering with QSEs/EMEs to deliver projects.
He has developed a culture of mentoring in mining in line with the business’s overall ambition to drive accreditation of professional quantity surveyors and other professional bodies to help advance the younger generation.
