Hydrogen, the simplest of all atoms known to mankind is once again revolutionising our society. Advancements in technology means we are now able to produce hydrogen in mass without utilising energy sources which negatively impacts our environment. This unlocks opportunities for the mining industry and South African economy, helping to stimulate growth and positively contribute towards the just transition. Now is the time for the mining industry capitalises on this opportunity in order to transition from being a net consumer of energy to net zero; decarbonise the mining value chain; create green jobs, exploit renewable resources and beneficiate and add value to minerals resources.
