Head of Policy and Planning Safety, Sustainable Development and Risk De Beers Group

Tefo joined De Beers November 2022 after previously serving as the Head of Safety & Sustainable Development for Debswana Diamond Company. He is responsible for sustainability strategy, risk, standards, talent, performance, innovation & technology and assurance. He led the work to develop the Debswana sustainability strategy which seeks to align the Debswana strategy with that of the Government of Botswana in attaining its Vision 2036 aspiration. Tefo is a member of the Botswana National Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) technical and steering committees as well as the Botswana National Rhino Management Committee
