

Marcus Courage is the founder and CEO of Africa Practice, a mission-led strategic consulting firm that partners with industry, philanthropy, and the public sector to drive progress across Africa. With over 25 years of experience, Marcus is a recognised policy shaper and systems-wide innovator dedicated to dismantling rewriting outdated rules and building inclusive markets and public systems.
Under his leadership, Africa Practice has grown into a leading pan-African advisory firm, delivering high-level political economy analysis to a blue-chip client base and fostering the conditions for impact-led innovation to thrive. Marcus holds deep expertise in the mining sector, having served as a private sector contributor to the African Mining Vision and as a trusted advisor to various Ministers of Mines and leading mining operators across the continent.
Beyond his role at Africa Practice, Marcus serves as a Director of Brink Innovation, Alkebulan, and DigiDeeds. A graduate of Manchester University, he resides in Gaborone, Botswana, with his wife and three children.
