SSC Group

Siyakhula Sonke Empowerment Corporation (Pty) Ltd (“SSC”) was established as a group of specialist companies involved in the underground contract mining, exploration drilling, mining rehabilitation, engineering specialist, advisory, human capital, and enterprise development industries. The SSC Group was the brainchild of its founder Fred Arendse, who with his vision, determination and personal capital established the SSC Group in 2005. The SSC Group was created out of the necessity for professional input into the sustainable socio-economic and transformation environment within the South African natural resources sector. Over the years the SSC Group expanded to hold strategic investments in mining rehabilitation, Exploration drilling, underground contract mining, engineering specialist, industrial automation, and control systems companies, as well as other mining and non-mining companies. SSC ‘s name is derived from the Zulu phrase, ‘together we grow’, and encapsulates the Group’s vision of Building a global, diversified, operating, minerals and investment Group. The SSC Group is a South African, 100% black and majority black-women owned company and is a Level 1 B-BBEE contributor.
