Alex serves as the Head: Social Performance at the Minerals Council South Africa, where he provides key thought leadership on how the mining industry can achieve positive and sustainable social impacts within its host communities. He brings a wealth of experience from holding various roles within mining, steel products, and cement manufacturing companies. Alex holds an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Political Studies, complemented by postgraduate business qualifications from the University of the Witwatersrand. He currently extends his expertise by serving as an Independent Trustee for the South Deep Education and Community Trusts.
