Allison has over two decades of experience in responsible resource governance and sustainable socioeconomic development across Africa, EMEA, Latin America, and Asia. Her career bridges the public and private sectors through influential roles at the World Bank, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, and the Tony Blair Institute, as well as contributions to the early establishment of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI). She has advised governments and companies on mining policy, governance, and reform, including leading transformative initiatives in Rwanda. As the founder of the BHP Xplor sponsored innovation competition, Allison champions emerging researchers from mining communities and supports pathways for sustainable innovation. In her current role as Senior Strategic Advisor at dss+, she guides mining and metals clients on corporate strategy, stakeholder engagement, and ESG transformation. She also serves on several boards, including the World Resources Forum, TMP and Afrimine. She is on the advisory panel of IWIM, and is on the executive committee for Women in Mining (WIM) UK. Allison continues to chair high-level committees on ‘critical’ minerals, governance and responsible supply chains – convening cross-sector dialogues integrating geopolitical, social, and environmental dimensions.
