Dr Amandine Gnanguênon is a Senior Fellow and Head of the Geopolitics and Geoeconomics Program at APRI, where she explores how shifting global dynamics create both challenges and opportunities for African states and regional organisations. She is also a Non-resident Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF). Before joining APRI in 2024, she advised governments, think tanks, regional organisations, and international partners on regional integration, peace and security, governance, digitalization, and climate-related issues. Over the past fifteen years, her work has focused on peace and security, Africa’s governance and relations with Europe, with particular emphasis on ECOWAS, the African Union, and the Sahel.
