Anton Viljoen
Analyst, Copper Mining Assets CRU
Anton Viljoen is a Base Metals Analyst at CRU International with over seven years of experience across mining, exploration, and metals market analysis. He specialises in copper and base metals, with a particular focus on asset-level cost structures, margins, and supply dynamics across African and global mining operations. Before joining CRU, Anton spent more than five years as an exploration geologist with companies including Anglo American and Remote Exploration Services, where he worked on multi-commodity exploration and development projects across Africa. Anton is a geologist by training, with postgraduate and undergraduate degrees in Geology from the University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University, respectively.
