Aurélie M’Bida is Editor-in-Chief for Economy at Jeune Afrique, where she oversees the magazine’s coverage of macroeconomics, finance, corporates and strategic sectors across the African continent. She is also the co-host of Le Grand Invité de l’Économie, the flagship monthly interview programme co-produced with RFI, which features leading African and international decision-makers. Since November 2024, she has also served as Editor-in-Chief of Africa Business+, Jeune Afrique’s premium business and finance intelligence publication dedicated to executives, investors and dealmakers operating in Africa. In parallel, she presents a bi-monthly economic column on TV5 Monde, where she provides accessible, data-driven analysis of major African and global economic trends for a broad international audience. Aurélie M’Bida joined the Jeune Afrique Media Group in 2018. She first worked as Chief Editor of Africa Business+, before becoming Head of the Finance Desk at Jeune Afrique, a role in which she strengthened the magazine’s coverage of banking, debt, capital markets and sovereign risk. A graduate of IPJ – Paris Dauphine, she began her career as an international business lawyer after completing a master’s degree in international trade law, a background that continues to inform her rigorous, cross-disciplinary approach to economic journalism.
