Charles Wanguhu is the Executive Director of Enzi Ijayo Africa Initiative, a Pan-African think and do tank dedicated to shaping a sustainable and equitable energy future for the continent. He provides strategic leadership across research, policy engagement, and stakeholder collaboration, with a strong focus on advancing transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance in Africa’s energy and natural resource sectors. Charles brings extensive experience in natural resource management, energy governance, and climate policy, grounded in a legal background from the University of Westminster and the University of Bedfordshire. His work sits at the intersection of business, human rights and sustainable development, enabling him to navigate complex policy environments and support evidence-based decision making. He currently serves on the boards of the Natural Resource Governance Institute and the Africa Centre for Open Governance, contributing to regional and continental governance discourse. Driven by a strong Pan African vision, Charles is deeply committed to promoting social justice, ethical resource management, and Africa’s green transition.
