Daniel Korsah
Manager: Asset Optimisation Gold Fields Ghana
Daniel Korsah has over 15 years’ experience in mining operations. He joined Gold Fields in February 2011 as Mining Information Administrator and later rose to be Unit Manager – Business Improvement in 2013 for Damang operations. Daniel was appointed as Manager – Technical Reporting and Business improvement in 2023 at the Corporate Office in Accra where he spearheaded the Gold Fields’ continuous improvement programs, asset optimisation and modernisation across the operations as well as providing technical and business process support. Currently Manager – Asset Optimisation, Ghana overseeing both Tarkwa and Damang operations. He is leading the Asset optimisation strategy and the assets’ full potential delivery while providing Lead role in the integration and implementation of technology projects and systems. Daniel has been instrumental in the successful implementation of many business improvement projects and technology integrations at the operational and strategic levels over the last decade in mining. Daniel is very passionate about his job and sees himself as a great team player. Daniel is pursuing MSc. Mining Engineering at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), holds MSc. in Engineering Project Management from Coventry University, Professional Certificate in Business Operation from University of Melbourne, Australia, and Postgraduate Certificate in Mining Engineering from UMaT.
