Eirik joined De Beers Group in September 2025 as Senior Vice President and Chief Economist, Head of Global Market and Price Analysis, before his appointment to the role of Acting Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Strategy, and Chief Economist. Prior to this, Eirik held the role of Chief Economist and SVP Global External Analysis at the Norwegian multinational energy company, Equinor, leading 15 editions of the company’s global energy outlook. With more than 12 years in chief economist roles and board experience across three major Norwegian government institutions, Eirik holds a unique perspective shaped by global markets and institutional governance. Eirik serves on the board of Eksfin, an export finance organisation in Norway. Eirik is also Executive in Residence at BI Norwegian Business School and Non-Resident Fellow at Colorado School of Mines.
