Iqbal Rasool is the Chief Commercial Officer of Kamoto Copper Company, a leading copper and cobalt producer in the Democratic Republic of Congo, jointly owned by Glencore and Gécamines. Appointed in August 2026, he brings over 25 years of mining industry experience across BHP, South32, and Anglo American, where he held senior leadership roles and spearheaded large-scale business transformation initiatives. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and a Graduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout his career, Iqbal has been recognized for driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and sustainable value creation in complex environments.
