Isabela Nyoka is a mining finance specialist and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience across Africa’s banking and extractives sectors. She currently serves as Ecobank Group Mining Specialist, leading corporate and investment banking transactions across UEMOA, AWA, and CESA regions, with deals exceeding USD 680 million in 2023. Previously, she held senior roles at Standard Bank of South Africa (Stanbic), including Deputy Head of Client Coverage for East Africa, and Head of Mining Finance at Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe, where she structured landmark platinum-linked power purchase agreements and managed gold refinery accounts with turnovers of USD 600 million. Isabela has had the privilege of sharing her perspectives at international forums such as PDAC (Canada), the Nordic Africa Business Summit (Norway), and Africa Accelerate (Toronto). She is trained as a Certified Technical and Financial Auditor of mining projects, is an ACCA (UK) affiliate, and holds a BSc Honours in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. Beyond mining finance, she is the founder of a thriving agribusiness with annual revenues of USD 3 million, recognized with Nestlé Essar’s Milk Supplier of the Year Award (2020). Passionate about public speaking and writing, she also won Destiny Magazine SA’s bloggers’ award in 2011.
