Kalengo serves as Chief Credit Risk Officer of the Bank. He is a seasoned transformational leader with a bias for action and a distinguished career spanning over 20 years garnered in the banking, construction and water sectors. Prior to joining Zanaco, Kalengo served as Chief Risk Officer at United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, a Pan-African financial services group, and has also previously held senior management roles at two FTSE 100 institutions-Barclays and Standard Chartered Bank Plc. He is an alumni of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program (AMP), and also holds a MSc in Finance (University of Leicester) and LLM in International Corporate and Commercial Law (King’s College London, UK).
