Mark Rodgers

MD, Africa Asia Pacific Newmont

Mark Rodgers is the Managing Director of Newmont’s Africa Asia Pacific business unit, having also served as Newmont’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific; Papua New Guinea; and Latin America and Caribbean. Mark is a seasoned senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in the resources industry, including working for BHP and Rio Tinto. His last 15 years have been in senior operational and project roles.  Mark has developed a strong reputation for delivering positive business outcomes while serving on multiple boards and executive committees. Raised in Scotland, he studied in Australia, gaining a Bachelor of Science in mineral processing (extractive metallurgy) and post-graduate qualifications in mineral economics.
