Mogaleadi Seabela
President WiMSA
Mogaleadi Seabela is the President of Women in Mining South Africa (WiMSA) and a multi-award-winning Mining Engineer with extensive experience across multiple commodities and regions. Her career spans production, mining technical services to her current role as Manager for the Contractor Performance Management (CPM) application at Anglo American. She has successfully led teams through complex operational and technological transitions, consistently maintaining strong safety performance and operational efficiency. Mogaleadi is recognised for her advocacy for mining technology and has conducted research on technology adoption within the mining industry. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, she has played a significant role in championing women’s empowerment throughout her career. Her accolades include being named one of the 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining (WIMUK100) in 2022 and winning the 18th Annual Standard Bank Top Women in Science Award. Mogaleadi is a seasoned speaker who has participated in several international mining conferences, including the 3rd annual WiM Congress in Chile, World Mining Congress in Australia and the Mining Show in Dubai. She has a deep commitment to education and mentorship and actively works with schools, universities, communities, and organisations such as WiMSA to promote learning, mentorship, and career development in STEM and mining.
