2025 Agenda Sessions

2025 Mining Innovation & Research Battlefield

Pitch 1 - Transforming Tailings with Innovative Water Solutions
Tailings & water are tightly related. A full recycle of water is a prerequisite for future tailing utilization. Water should be thought as an enabler to give the highest recoveries
Lisa October, Resoketswe Manenzhe & Diana Kasymova

Pitch 2 -  Waste-to-Wealth Tailings Processing
Co-processing uranium and copper tailings for REE and cobalt extraction using waste-generated acid, eliminating acid costs and reducing reagent consumption for neutralizati
Vitor Loureiro Gontijo

Pitch 3 - BioCarbonX: Reclaiming brownfields and rehabilitating mine sites
Our engineered biochar combined with tailings has the capacity to reclaim brownfields and rehabilitate mine sites by adsorbing heavy metals and enriching the soil.
