Sebastian Sahla
Policy Manager EITI International Secretariat
Sebastian is a Policy Manager advancing the EITI’s work on the energy transition. As part of this he leads technical assistance and capacity building for stakeholders in EITI countries, oversees the development of EITI publications and engages with global partners. Prior to joining EITI, Sebastian spent eight years working on governance and sustainability issues in the natural resource sector. He was an independent consultant advising a range of clients, including the World Bank, the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), Transparency International, Global Witness, Oxfam and several major mining and energy companies. Sebastian previously worked for NRGI in Myanmar where he led technical assistance and capacity development programmes in the mining sector for government and civil society. He started his career with the London-based consulting firm Critical Resource. Sebastian holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at University College London and the University of Pennsylvania.
