Tom has been working for over twenty years in the resources sector, in Australia and abroad, as a field geologist, project manager and, more recently, as a commodity analyst. For 5 years, Tom worked as an exploration geologist in Australia and Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan) – identifying and developing gold, copper and nickel projects. Since his industry career, Tom has worked for over 20 years as a resources and commodity analyst with Citi, Merrill Lynch, UBS, Morgan Stanley and Macquarie. Tom joined Panmure Liberum in 2021 as its London-based commodity analyst. He writes research on gold-silver, PGMs, base metals (including EV-inputs of lithium/cobalt), steel, iron ore, coals, crude oil, gas, uranium. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology, Geophysics) from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance, Economics) from the University of Western Australia.
