Driving sustainable investment in African Mining

Has just 33 years of working experience and 25 years’ experience in the Public Service.  Started his career as a Chemist at Eskom’s Koeberg Nuclear Power Station.  He has also worked at the Atomic Energy Corporation (now NECSA), the National Nuclear Regulator before joining the EXCO of the then DME in 2001 as head of Nuclear Energy.  He led the drafting of the Nuclear Energy Policy of South Africa.  Has served as Director on the CEF Board and has chaired the South African Council for the Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction between 2014 and 2019.  He currently is the DDG responsible for Minerals and Petroleum Regulation at the DMPR.
