Heidi is an accomplished investment professional with over 20 years of experience in South Africa's investment and mining industries, dedicated to harnessing responsible mining investment as a transformative force for national growth and development. She serves as a sector specialist in mining and beneficiation at the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), Africa’s largest fund manager. She drives proprietary research to develop long-term investment strategies and identifies key thematic opportunities that align with sustainable development. Previously, Heidi served as Acting Head of Research at the PIC, providing leadership during an executive transition. Before that, she honed her expertise as an Equity Analyst, focusing on financial and technical evaluations of global and local mining, steel, transport, and energy investments. Her background includes roles as a mining and exploration consultant and a training geologist, focusing on investment analysis, project evaluation, and promoting investment perspectives through numerous conferences, roadshows, and site visits across Africa, South America, and Australia, which has distinguished her career.
