Thabile Makgala serves as the Executive Vice President of People, Risk, SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment), and Corporate Affairs at Sasol. She is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of strategic, technical and operational leadership experience. Thabile leads a diverse and dedicated team focused on championing the well-being of Sasol's employees and advancing the company's communication and brand strategies with purpose and integrity. Prior to joining Sasol, Thabile was based in Montreal, Canada, where she worked for Rio Tinto, successfully managing a diverse portfolio of global assets, including high-grade iron ore, titanium dioxide, borate production, and diamond mining. Thabile holds a Bsc Mining Engineering degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch Business School, and completed a Senior Executive Program at Harvard Business School.
