Amaury Vadon holds a Master’s Degree from EDHEC Business School, one of Europe’s premier business institutions, where he studied from 2007 to 2011. Prior to this, he completed his French A-levels (Baccalauréat) with a focus on scientific subjects.Amaury Vadon brings over 12 years’ experience of diverse roles within Michelin to his current position, showcasing a deep understanding of the tyre industry. Throughout his career at Michelin, he has excelled in various sales and managerial positions, progressing from Account Manager to Regional Sales Manager, International Key Account Manager, and now Managing Director and Vice President for Sub-Saharan Africa. This career trajectory signifies his expertise in sales, operational strategy, and leadership.His career was marked by several achievements, one of those being the signature of a Long-Term Agreement with MOBIVIA, one of the Strategic Partners Worldwide of Michelin. He also contributed at reinventing Michelin’s organisation around a new kind of Key Account Management, called the “Guild” approach in 2020. The Guild approach, inspired by the collaborative and dynamic guilds of medieval times were initially used by craftsmen, later evolved into associations with shared goals, knowledge, and expertise. Adopting this model, Michelin formed multidisciplinary teams dedicated to strategic customers, breaking down traditional silos and fostering collaboration among Sales, Marketing, Supply, IT and other departments. This innovative approach has significantly improved customer satisfaction and market share, showcasing Michelin’s commitment to adaptability and customer-centricity. His appointment to this role marks his biggest professional achievement to date. Vadon’s vision for Michelin SSA is deeply rooted in the overarching purpose of the Michelin Group: “Giving people a better way forward” in a sustainable manner. His mission is to embody this purpose while addressing the unique challenges and opportunities specific to the African continent.
