Sven Demmig

Executive Vice President Minerals Innomotics

Sven Demmig, Executive Vice President Minerals of Siemens Large Drives, has worked for 
Siemens AG for 14 years in different roles. Before starting as drive system consultant in 
Nuremberg he finalized his PHD in the field of electrical engineering focusing on motors, drive 
systems and control algorithms in 2008.
In 2012 Sven took over the responsibility for a specialist quotation team focusing on complex 
system quotations for power generation, test beds and metallurgy. After Siemens created a new 
entity concentrating on the Oil & Gas industry, Sven was asked to build up the global OEM 
management for the key compressor manufacturers around the world as key to developing 
sustainable business growth based on successful partnerships.
In 2018 Sven was appointed head of a dedicated sales team targeting the global Large Drives 
top opportunities in various verticals including primary and extractive industries. This included 
the coverage of the different sales channels and stake holders in the projects globally. This was 
followed by the overall responsibility for the department “Global Accounts, Verticals and 
Projects”. This covered the Large Drives account management, development of key projects 
and business development across multiple primary industries.
In 2021 Sven was appointed as Executive Vice President Minerals with the global responsibility 
for the Solution Business in Mining and Cement industries
