Juniors & Explorers

A mining company is defined as a company whose primary business is exploring, seeking to develop, or actively mining natural resource deposits or fields, excluding oil and gas.

Please refer to the below for the junior and explorers pass criteria:

• A junior mining company focuses on a single mine, from the stage of conducting a definitive feasibility study to developing and operating the mine. The company may also possess other exploration assets.
• An exploration company is engaged in prospecting and holds valid exploration permits. The company may have started surface exploration, scoping studies, and preliminary economic assessments (PEA), and progressed to pre-feasibility studies (PFS). Typically with a market cap of up to $25 million.

Investors

Investor passes are reserved solely for professional investors. This includes individuals whose primary function is to invest funds into mining companies and projects and who may be employed in private equity, commodity trading, asset management, investment management, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, venture capital, private wealth management, and family offices.

Private investors/HNWIs who can provide evidence of at least US$1 million in liquid financial assets will also benefit from complimentary passes, subject to their primary motivation for attending being investment purposes. Subject to review and approval.

Government & Ministries

Government passes are reserved for those who are currently employed or appointed by a government/ governmental ministry or agency. Subject to review and approval.

Professional Services

This pass is for companies that provide professional business services to the mining community such as accountancy, consultancy, legal, marketing and PR, recruitment and training.

Services, Equipment & Tech

The Equipment and Machinery passes are reserved solely for those that offer a product/service to the mining industry, this includes but not limited to construction technologies, technology, mineral processing, transportation, equipment for power supply, laboratory equipment and materials, mining services, and safety and ecology systems and equipment.

Energy Suppliers

Energy Supplier passes are reserved for energy companies that are nationally or privately owned within the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.

Young Leaders Programme

The Young Leaders Programme on Thursday 8 February is reserved solely for students, graduates, and young professionals below the age of 30, who are looking to start a career within the mining industry. 
Before you begin your registration you will need either of the following:

• Copy of your CV
• Student ID
• Graduation certificate

General Counsel Forum

The General Counsel Forum on Thursday 8 February is reserved solely for mining and exploration focused in-house legal professionals. This includes general counsel, in-house lawyers, compliance, and risk professionals, company secretaries and legal operations managers. Subject to review and approval.

Press

Press and media passes are served solely for members of the media who have been pre-accredited for a press pass. Eligibility is determined by your valid press accreditation ID or providing samples of relevant work.
