LEAD Alumni Launch Event

The LEAD (Leaders in Extractives and African Development) Alumni Launch event will be the official launch of the Alumni programme and aims to bring together like-minded future leaders of the mining industry to contribute to current topical issues facing African mining. The LEAD Programme is a two-week programme by the University of Cape Town and comprises a week of lectures and another week of participation in the full programme of activities of the Investing in Africa Mining Indaba. In support of the LEAD program, Investing in Africa Mining Indaba announced the Top 30 and Top 20 future Leaders in African Mining in 2024 and 2025, respectively. The LEAD program Alumni are from several mining jurisdictions across Africa, and they work in various sectors of mining including business/entrepreneurship, government, NGOs, Universities, and various other organizations representing stakeholders of the industry.
