Syrah Resources Ltd is a globally significant, vertically integrated natural graphite and battery anode company, supplying battery and industrial markets with high-quality, environmentally differentiated and customer qualified products. The Company, which is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, 95% owns and operates a natural graphite mine and processing operation in Balama, Mozambique (“Balama”) and wholly owns and operates a downstream natural graphite active anode material (“AAM”) processing facility in Vidalia, Louisiana (“Vidalia”), located in Louisiana, USA. 

Balama is the world’s largest integrated producer of natural graphite, with an annual production capacity of 350,000tpa. It is the only production asset outside of China capable of supplying significant volumes of natural graphite for the lithium-ion battery supply chain, specifically for battery-grade, high-purity anode material. Balama’s high-grade natural graphite reserve supports a multi-generational lifespan of operations, making it a globally significant resource.

In February 2024, Syrah became the first commercial-scale, vertically integrated producer of natural graphite AAM outside of China, with the commencement of AAM production at its fully integrated facility in Vidalia. The Vidalia facility includes milling, purification, and furnace processes and is integrated to Balama, utilizing its high-quality natural graphite as feedstock.
