Antwerp and diamonds have been synonymous for over 500 years. As the global capital of the diamond trade, Antwerp plays a crucial role in the world’s diamond industry, and the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) is at the heart of it.

Our mission is to preserve Antwerp's leadership in the diamond sector, foster global awareness of our city’s diamond heritage, and inspire future generations to value the beauty, craftsmanship, and significance of diamonds.

AWDC represents over 1,475 companies within Antwerp’s diamond district, where more than 70 nationalities work together in the largest and most international diamond trade hub. From imports to exports, Antwerp’s diamond trade represents 15% of Belgium’s exports outside the EU and supports more than 30,000 jobs. Through Antwerp’s diamond trade, we also contribute to the livelihoods of millions worldwide, ensuring that diamonds continue to be a symbol of prosperity.

Integrity, transparency, and sustainability form the backbone of AWDC’s operations. We are committed to upholding these values while fostering innovation in an ever-evolving industry. As the world’s leading diamond trade center, Antwerp thrives on both tradition and progress, embodying the highest standards of craftsmanship.

At AWDC, we are proud to create a positive business environment for the diamond trade while promoting best practices globally. “Diamonds and Antwerp, it’s in our DNA.” Join us in shaping the future of this extraordinary industry.
