Daldrup & Söhne AG (D&S), a listed medium-sized company, is a sought-after and leading provider of drilling and environmental services as well as deep geothermal projects for the utilization of geothermal energy for the generation of electricity and/or heat. Founded in 1946 as a drilling company for industrial and drinking water, D&S is mainly active in the DACH region as well as in the Benelux countries and is represented by its own subsidiaries in Switzerland and the Netherlands.
The shares, which are listed on the German Scale 30 index, are 58.4% owned by the Daldrup family.
D & S's business activities are divided into four divisions: 'Geothermal', 'Commodities & Exploration', 'Water Extraction' and 'Environment, Development & Services' (EDS).
In the Geothermal division, D & S is the market leader for deep geothermal drilling in continental Europe with a track record of more than 80 deep wells to depths of between 1,500 and 6,000 metres. D&S has more than 40 modern drilling rigs in its fleet, including five high-tech deep drilling rigs capable of drilling to depths of up to 6,000 metres. In its Commodities & Exploration division, D&S is able to provide high quality cores down to depths of around 4,000 metres, enabling scientists and/or exploration organizations to identify areas for resource exploitation or nuclear repositories.
Thanks to its broad positioning, D&S is able to apply highly specialized technologies from deep drilling technology to all its business areas, if required.
Customers include both public clients (local authorities, municipal utilities) and private investors and companies.
