Company or Project Background: In 2012, Mr. Edward Shamutete, former Chairman and CEO of Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM), acquired three greenfield emerald mining concessions in Lufwanyama, Ndola Rural, located in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. The first concession, Plot 257A, spans 23.6 hectares and is situated in the Sandawana area of Lufwanyama. Plot 257A is bordered by two producing mines: the world-renowned Grizzly (Chantete) mine to the west and Marlex (ABB) to the east. It shares the same Talc-Magnetic Schist vein as Grizzly (Chantete) and Kagem (Fibolele) mines to the west. 
The second mining concession, Plot 5/2A, covers 28 hectares and is located in the Kamakanga area of Lufwanyama. It borders Kagem mine to the east. The third mining concession, Plot 40A/B, covers 149.5 hectares and is adjacent to Kagem mine to the south.
