Marampa Mines Limited, a subsidiary of Gerald Group, is engaged in the exploration, development and production of 65% high-grade iron ore concentrate, branded Marampa BlueTM from resources of approximately 1.7B tonnes, located in Marampa in the Port Loko District of Sierra Leone. Gerald Group is investing in the Marampa project to build a resilient and sustainable iron ore project with a >90-year life-of-mine, by integrating exploration, mining, processing and export logistics. Marampa Mines is one of the largest employers in Sierra Leone, with over 30% of its workforce represented by women, and is also a major contributor to tax revenues, creating in-country value for local communities and playing an integral role in fostering sustainable socio-economic development.
