Director - West Africa Embellie Advisory
Alexander Stonor is the West Africa Director at Embellie Advisory. In this role, he oversees the company’s strategic growth in the region and assists mining stakeholders in the fields of political risk, ESG, and sustainability. Prior to joining Embellie Advisory, Alex was a mining reporter with field experience in Cote d’Ivoire, the DRC, and South Africa. He notably drafted GBR’s latest Mining in Africa Country Investment Guide (MACIG) with insights from over 180 ministers, C-level executives, and communities across Africa. Alex has completed over 50 ESG risk assessment and due diligence reports produced for Fortune Global 500 companies and governments (Africa and other emerging markets). Alex received a Master’s Degree in Diplomacy and Foreign Policy from City, University of London.
