An experienced and accomplished natural resources Chief Executive with over 38 years of executive, senior and operational management; project development; and corporate business development in the mining and metals industry.
A high-energy, results driven leader with a degree in Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration, Brett has superior knowledge of implementing dynamic change into the business with respect to: start-ups; organizational and operational turnarounds and mergers/acquisitions, with world-wide business experience on 5 continents, and in over 30 countries.
Has served as the CEO of several London LSE and AIM, Toronto TSX and TSXV stock exchange-listed companies, and served as CEO of multiple private mining companies controlled by private equity firms or ultra-high net worth individuals; raising more than US$2B of capital from as little as $2M seed capital to as large as a US$270M corporate fund raising.
While focused for the last 20 years in Africa, Brett has lived and worked in Bukavu and Kolwezi, DRC; Bamako, Mali; Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso; and Freetown Sierra Leone.
Has previously sat as Chairman, Director and Committee Chair on multiple listed companies, and currently sits on four TSX company Boards.
