CEO Mine Health and Safety Council
Mr David ‘Dave’ Mamphitha joined the Mine Health and Safety Council as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He holds qualifications in Metallurgy, Mining and Commerce, as well as an MBA from GIBS (UP). He is a member of The Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA) and SAIMM. He has worked for large mining companies such as BHPBilliton and De Beers at various levels, and played a part in several value adding roles (Supervisor, Engineer, Business Development Manager, Project Manager, General Manager, Head of Strategy and Business Planning, and CEO.
