CEO Curatio Gold

Doug is the founding CEO at Curatio Gold and is an experienced mining executive with over 40 years of industry experience in the planning, development, and closure of base and precious metals mines in Canada and internationally. Doug brings particular expertise in working with Indigenous peoples to develop new mines, and in mercury related health and environmental impacts of mining and other projects. Recent project involvement has included positions as Vice-President, and later as CEO, of Copper North Mining Corp. (2012-2020), and Director of Sustainability and Indigenous Affairs at Spanish Mountain Gold Limited (2020-2023). Doug’s current focus is on using profitable mineral resource development partnerships with ASGMs to support transformation of the Artisanal and Small-scale gold mining sector in East Africa.
