Francisco is a Senior Partner of Aroeira Salles which is a leading Brazilian law firm. Francisco acts for international and domestic clients in relation to major infrastructure, energy and mining projects.  

Francisco’s areas of expertise include procurement, dispute resolution, administrative and regulatory law. Francisco has significant experience with various modes of contracting for private and public contracts. Francisco also leads on a number of the firm’s mining related matters including advising on projects in Africa.  

Francisco advises on leading disputes, frequently representing clients in hearings including before appeal courts, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and Superior Court of Justice (STJ) in Brazil. He also advises clients in relation to proceedings overseas together with local counsel.  

Francisco  is an active member of the international legal community speaking at conferences and producing academic materials for international publications and holds a Master of Law in Dispute Resolution from UCL in London.
