Henriette Kolb
Global Manager Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory International Finance Corporation
Henriette leads the Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory (SIA) Group at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, where she focuses on co-creating sustainability business solutions through research, investment, and advisory services. Previously, she led IFC's Gender and Economic Inclusion Department. Prior to joining IFC in September 2013, Henriette served as Chief Executive Officer of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. Earlier in her career, Henriette served as the United Nations representative on the Middle East Quartet team, advising Tony Blair in Jerusalem. She also worked with the Office of the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (UNSCO). Her professional experience includes governance advisory roles with the European Commission Delegation to Tanzania, the German Technical Cooperation Agency in Germany, and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Tanzania, where she worked on conflict reduction, civic education, and socioeconomic development in East Africa. Henriette holds an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London, and an MA from Freiburg University, Germany. She was a nonresident fellow in the Harvard Kennedy School Women in Public Policy Program (2018). Henriette serves as a guest lecturer at the Berkeley Haas School of Business, Georgetown University, and New York University. She contributes to publications hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations, Devex, and Business Fights Poverty.
