Driving sustainable investment in African Mining

Hod Kwadzo Ayigba

Director - ARLEI ITUC Africa

Dr. Hod Anyigba is the Chief Economist at ITUC-Africa and the Executive Director of its Africa Labour Research and Education Institute (ALREI). He is a widely published and highly cited scholar in leading academic journals. He has also published widely in popular non-academic outlets including speaking at various high-level meetings including but not limited to speaking engagements at the UN, USA-AGOA Ministerial among others. His expertise spans the areas of economics, international trade, macroeconomics, climate change, social protection, and equality. Hod has consulted for organisations such as the ILO, European Commission, GIZ as well as numerous trade union organizations and international organizations across Africa and beyond. He also serves on several boards and holds a PhD, Master and Economics Degrees all in Economics. He speaks English, Russian and Basic French.
