Hon. Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane, MP, has served as Zambia's Minister of Finance and National Planning since August 2021, where he has been instrumental in driving the country's economic transformation agenda. Under his leadership, Zambia has successfully secured a program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and advanced the restructuring of the country's external debt.

During his tenure, Hon. Musokotwane has implemented fiscal policy aimed at fostering investment, accelerating economic growth, and improving public service delivery. He has championed fiscal decentralization by significantly enhancing the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), ensuring that resources reach local communities.

Dr. Musokotwane's academic credentials include a Doctorate in Monetary Economics from the University of Konstanz (Germany), a Master of Arts in Monetary Economics from the University of Dar-Es-Salaam (Tanzania), and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Zambia, highlighting his extensive expertise in economic policy and planning.
