Hope Tyira is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the mining sector, having worked with leading organizations such as De Beers, Anglo American Platinum, African Barrick Gold (Tanzania), Modikwa Platinum Mine JV (ARM/ANGLO), and Siyanda Resources. With a proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams, Hope delivers results while addressing critical areas such as safety, sustainability, risk management, human resources, stakeholder engagement, and business strategy. I have cultivated a distinguished career marked by strategic leadership, sustainability initiatives, and transformational achievements. Hope Spearheaded a 5-year wage agreement with AMCU and NUM at Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine, fostering stability and sound labor relations across the western limb region. Hope Has a BSc from UCT, A BSc (Hons) and a master’s in business leadership from UNISA. Currently, I serve as a Group Executive for Corporate Affairs and ESG, as well as a Non-Executive Director for Siyanda Chrome Companies, which include Masa and Siyanda Chrome Investments. As the founding chairman of the "We Give Hope Foundation," a Non-Profit Organization in Worcester, Western Cape, I am deeply passionate about philanthropy, particularly in youth empowerment and community development. My initiatives build capacity and create opportunities for sustainable growth in the Townships around Worcester.
