GBVF Project Coordinator Minerals Council South Africa
Lindokuhle Zwane is a young professional at the Minerals Council who is a passionate advocate and thought leader in the fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), with experience in developing survivor-centred strategies that drive meaningful change. At Minerals Council South Africa, Lindokuhle spearheads the national partnership to support Thuthuzela Care Centres (TCCs) aimed at enhancing the prevention and response to GBV in mining host communities. This a critical initiative in collaboration with the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the GBVF Response Fund, and Minerals Council member mining companies. This project is aligned to the Women in Mining Foundational Measure to reaffirm zero tolerance for GBV within the mining gates and beyond. As project lead, Lindokuhle streamlines the support by mining houses to TCC’s. She believes that the mining industry has a unique position to positively influence culture transformation.
